General CommentI would have to strongly disagree with previous comments. This song means, well at least to me; that this girl took caution when it came to love, so she didn't completely open herself up to him. She was careless with their relationship, she left. Now that time has went by she realizes what they had was real.she was happy and now she's broken because they are no longer together.she took him for granted. She says I know empty promises will wear, she was the one at fault not him.

He's on his own and is doing well without her, so in a sense he is embarrassing her on his own because he has moved on and is doing well without her, while she is looking back like why did I ever walk away from that relationship and is upset and her scars are open (her walls finally came down). Relationships are hard and she couldn't deal, she was weak and he was strong. Now she's saying he can tell everyone how she wants him back because she knows what real love is now and it was what they had when they were together but it's too late (she realized too late) and he could respond IMPOSSIBLE.he'll never take her back. Yes, to me this is the best interpretation. She took caution when it came to love (she says it) and then said 'You were strong, but I was not' which points to the fact that she wasn't completely in the relationship. I expect that they probably had an argument about it in some point in their relationship, and they split.

A guy won't stick around for a girl that doesn't care about it so much, hence 'You have gone and so effortlessly'. 'You have won' the argument - directed at the guy. When she says 'impossible', it's pointing to the fact that the feelings that she's feeling should be impossible, since that was what the point of 'take caution when it comes to love' was all about. It's what 'she hoped would be impossible'. Irony, irony. Haha catchy song:). General CommentDefinitely a relatable song for most people.

We've all grown up watching movies, listening to songs, being told by others to 'be careful because love can break your heart.' My interpretation of this song is mainly that she, like everyone else, was told to be careful and protect her heart, don't give it away too easily. But once she met this guy she fell head over heels, gave in, and lowered her walls, only to prove everyone whoever cautioned her, right. It seems she's telling the guy who broke her heart, 'yeah you got me, go ahead and tell everyone how you taught me a lesson, how now I really know what it's like to feel a broken heart.' Great lyrics:). Song Meaning'Impossible' is a song about a girl who decided she would take wise advice and apply it to her life while taking 'caution when it comes to love.'

And so she did, and everything seemed perfect for the long run. But further into their relationship, it was clear that her significant other was stronger than her in the relationship, 'you were strong and I was not' and because she was so deep in love with him, she was 'careless and forgot' about continuing to take caution, or realizing that he was in total control. This completely damaged their relationship because he took advantage of her naiveness about love and trust. 'You have gone and so effortlessly You have won' this is referring to the fact that he broke her heart so easily, with a snap of his fingers, by cheating on her with multiple women. 'Tell THEM all I know now' is her wanting the other women to know because if her relationship to him meant nothing, than neither will his other ones. 'Tell them what I hoped would be impossible' He is never going to change because as the saying goes.

Once a cheater, always a cheater. It's a lifestyle he's grown into and it was impossible for their 'love' to mean anything when she wasn't the only girl in his life. General CommentThe song is about a girl who is told to be cautious with love, and she is. Then she becomes so wrapped up in her love for this guy, that she forgets and let's her guard down. 'You were strong and I was not' usually the strongest person in a relationship is the one who cares less.

She was not as 'strong' so he took advantage of her love for him, and cheats on her.' Falling for betrayal is worse' 'and if you're done with embarrassing me.' He as embarrassed her, she looks/feels like a complete idiot for not knowing what was going on, and thinking everything was great. 'on your own you can go ahead and tell them.' If anyone wonders what happened, he can tell them. But he has to do it alone because they are done. 'them all I know now' She has learned from her mistakes, she found out about him and will be more aware in future relationships.

'tell them I was happy, and my heart is broken' she did love him, and she was happy. But he broke her heart. 'tell them what I hoped would be impossible' she loved him, but now their future. Everything they would've had together is impossible because of what he has done.

General CommentI love this song is all honesty The lyrics tell a story about a girl or should I say woman who didn't listen to advice that was given to her. Often shontelle repeats: I remember years ago Someone told me I should take Caution when it comes to love So the woman folllowed it however she became careless ' I was careless, I forgot I did'. She was taking it smooth in the relationship until she fell head over heals with the man she realized she was to late to change that.

However her lover started to change 'You have gone and so effortlessly' He started to treat her badly and not appreciate what they had. Soon she realized That the relationship she hopes for was impossible. She realized she had to leave him. As the woman was thinking about all of this she realized he won because he's not suffering but she is. She's heartbroken while he's having fun. Then as she realizes her mistakes she says tell them I was happy and my heart is broken. She's showing he won by saying that.

She is accepting her mistake as a way of leaving The woman starts to think harder about the relationship. She realizes that trying to forget and stop loving him wasn't as hard as realizing she fell for his tricks. The woman is realizing all her mistakes and is ready to love on.

She's allowing the man to gloat but she knows he did wrong At the end she repeats the advice she was given as a sign she will listen to that advice better next time. My Interpretationthis song is so beautiful and normally i would never admit that i listen to this type of stuff, but the song is perfect. I think it's about a girl who was warned in her younger days about the consequences of falling in love and she shrugged it all off because she thought it 'would be impossible'. As she grew up, she learned for herself, the hard way, all that she already knew but never thought she did. 'tell them all I know now' depicts that. When she mentions 'shout it from the rooftops', i think that shows a sign of weakness.

She feels vulnerable because of how this relationship broke her, so she's basically giving up and saying, 'i get it, i didn't listen, i was wrong and now i have to pay' so she's telling it to the world. General CommentTo me, it's about a girl who was warned to not fall for a guy too quickly, but then forgot and ended up falling anyway. Then, the guy cheated, or broke her heart for another reason. 'You have gone and so effortlessly, you have won' - he didn't love her back, or at least not as much as she did, and he broke her heart really easily, like snapping his fingers. 'Tell them all I know now' - tell everyone how you cheated/never loved me, tell everyone how I fell for you, then go humiliated.

Go ahead, tell EVERYONE. It can't make it any worse. 'All my scars are open' - maybe she got hurt before?

'Tell them I was happy, and my heart is broken' - She used to be really happy with him, but then he went and broke her heart 'Tell them what I hoped would be impossible' - maybe she had hopes of a future for them (marriage, kids, etc) but after the breakup, it became obvious that he never had that intention, so it was 'impossible' that that would ever happen (I disagree with the lyrics: 'when all is gone' should be 'all is done').
